En su segunda carta pastoral a Timoteo, Pablo escribió diciendo, “Procura con diligencia presentarte a Dios aprobado, como obrero que no tiene de qué avergonzarse, que usa bien la palabra de verdad. Mas evita profanas y vanas palabrerías, porque conducirán más y más a la impiedad. Y su palabra carcomerá como gangrena; de los cuales son Himeneo y Fileto, que se desviaron de la verdad…” (2 Timoteo 2:15-18a).

 

Estamos en un tiempo en donde existe mucha falsedad dentro de las Iglesias. Y esto por falta del estudio de la Palabra de Dios. El trabajo de los Pastores es, y siempre ha sido, de alimentar a las ovejas a traves de la simple enseñanza de la Palabra de Dios. Pero en ves de enseñar la Palabra, muchos Pastores solamente les están dando puras emociones, con el enfoque en dinero. Por esta razón estamos dedicados a estudiar la Palabtra de Dios como fue escrita, libro por libro, capítulo por capítulo, y versículo por versículo para que de esta manera “…no seamos niños fluctuantes, llevados por doquiera de todo viento de doctrina, por estratagema de hombres que para engañar emplean con astucia las artimañas del error, sino que siguiendo la verdad en amor, crezcamos en todo en aquel que es la cabeza, esto es, Cristo” (Efesios 4:14-15).

We are a church

Please join us and be part of our family.

We are a Non-Denominational Church in Harlingen TX that is united in one body, one faith, and with one goal, and that is to edify the body of Christ and to grow in our relationship with Jesus Christ and in the knowledge of His Word. For that reason we teach the Bible, book by book, chapter by chapter, and verse by verse. We are many members, but yet we consider ourselves to be one family. We are united by God’s Spirit in love and we strive to grown in this love for each other and for the Lord, without which we cannot love God. We are unique, in the sense that, we teach the Word of God. We are not into scratching peoples ears, meaning that, we are not into the psycologizing of the faith, playing on the emotions of people, giving them "positive sermons" through which a covetous agenda is fulfilled. In our services you will open up and study your bibles and go through the Word of God with us, causing you to be spiritually edified.

WE BELIEVE

1.  that the scriptures of the Old and New Testaments are the Word of God, fully inspired without error and the infallible rule of faith and practice. The Word of God is the foundation upon which the church operates and is the basis for which the church is governed. We believe that the Word of God supersedes any earthly law that is contrary to the Holy Scriptures. (Isaiah 28:13; Nehemiah 8:8; John 17:17; 2 Timothy 3:16-17; Hebrews 4:12; 1 Peter 1:23-25; 2 Peter 1:3-4 and 1:21, see article titled "Has God Said?).

 

WE BELIEVE

2. that there is one living and true GOD, eternally existing in three persons: The Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, equal in power and glory; that this triune God created all, upholds all, and governs all things. (Genesis 1:1; Deuteronomy 6:4; Isaiah 44:8 and 48:16; Matthew 28:19-20; John 10:30; Hebrews 1:3).

 

WE BELIEVE

3. in the person of God the Father, an infinite, eternal, personal Spirit, perfect in holiness, wisdom, power and love; that He concerns Himself mercifully in the affairs of men; that He hears and answers prayer; and that He saves from sin and death all those who come to Him in faith through Jesus Christ, the only way a lost sinner can come to God for salvation...
